Advanced Route Export
CONTACT USIf you have to export a file from one system and import it into another, it sometimes means that the original system isn’t providing the value or features you want. An example of this is an accounting system that doesn’t have interactive reporting. You export data out of it, and you import it into a business intelligence tool to get more value out of it. Sometimes the systems are already integrated, and you just need to click a few buttons, and the data will automatically synchronize between them.
But the ability to automatically synchronize data between one system and another system or device is not always that straightforward, making your life inconvenient, with time-consuming and laborious format conversions. This is especially painful with legacy systems or devices that are frozen in time and only support very specific file formats for importing.
That’s where our Advanced Data Export add-on comes into play. The add-on automatically permits you to export any of your data in Route4Me, into the most popular file formats relevant for routing, mapping, navigation, and dispatch systems.
You can even customize the exported file format however you want, including resequencing export columns, and removing unnecessary ones.
One of the most popular uses for our Advanced Data Export add-on is for business owners that have already made a considerable investment into in-cab navigation equipment that accepts routes using portable memory cards, such as Garmin, Magellan, or TomTom devices.
While you may not get all the benefits of modern-day smartphones, such as real time dispatch, or signature capture, you will save a small fortune on monthly cellphone fees, not to mention buying the actual smartphones.
This is the simple reason we support exporting to these file formats because your existing hardware can likely continue to work for many years, and there’s no point losing your investment.
When it’s time to assign work to your drivers, export your multi-destination routes directly to a file. Copy it to a memory card and insert it into almost any of your existing Garmin, Magellan, or TomTom navigation devices. The drivers can now follow this multi-stop route without any internet connectivity.
Route4Me supports and allows you to export optimized routes in the following file formats: (.kml, .gpx, .gpxx, .freshroute, .asc, .itn, .fpi, .lmx, .tsx, and .upd).
- KML (Keyhole Markup Language) file format for such Earth Browsers as Google Earth, Google Maps, and Google Maps for mobile devices;
- GPX and GPXX (GPS Exchange Format) file formats compatible with multi-model Garmin GPS navigation devices;
- FRESHROUTE file format for Navigon GPS navigation devices;
- ASC (Action Script Communication) file format for Navigon 5 and Navigon 6 compatible GPS navigation devices;
- ITN (itinerary data format) file format for TomTom GPS navigation devices;
